Frequently Asked Questions

A Spoonful of Answers: Nurturing Your Curiosity

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need to be a mom?
No! Just a woman 21 or over. Can be a plant mom, have a fur baby, or just want to support your community with dancing!
2. So no dates? What if I want to bring my husband/boyfriend?
Sorry ladies- no men allowed other than our volunteers and DJ.  Your dates can be your girlfriends or come to meet someone new! We like to empower women in our community while providing a safe space to dress up, dress down, and just dance and have fun
3. Is dinner served?
We don’t provide dinner (one of the ways we keep ticket prices down) but have a snack bar through the night. Plan a dinner out with friends prior or grab some taco bell before arriving! No outside food or drink allowed in the facility so please make sure you are done prior to arrival
4. Where do the proceeds go again?
We pick a new non-profit charity partner every year so never the same place, but the money stays local in Omaha. After event costs are covered, we present the nonprofit with the check of the proceeds and then start fresh for the next event
5. I cannot attend but want to support! How can I help?
If you would like to make a monetary donation you can click here. We also offer a silent auction during the event where you can win without being present!
6. I own a business- can I donate?
Absolutely! Email info@omahamomprom.org and let’s connect
7. I had so much fun! When can I get tickets again? Can you throw another event later this year?
Tickets will always go on sale November 1st so that women can buy tickets for their friends for gifts. We are so happy you had so much fun! We are all full time working women who also have busy lives (kids, sports, life) so we can only manage one event a year and want to stay focused to make it the best for you!
8. I’m a nonprofit- when can we apply?
We open applications for 1 week at the end of January with the nonprofit interviews to occur prior to Prom and a promposal at prom! Please email info@omahamomprom.org if you have more questions about applying and nonprofit requirements
9. I can’t remember my question right now.
Totally fine! Email info@omahamomprom.org if you have further questions or concerns
10. I purchased an extra ticket I’d like to resell or I want to added to the waitlist.
Simply email tickets@omahamomprom.org Ticket resale is not a guarantee, but we work hard behind the scenes to find all tickets a home.
